The BCAPL and
Paul Sapp are pleased to announce the Fifth Annual Canadian Open Series 8 Ball
Tournament in Penticton BC. The
tournament will be held at the Penticton Curling Club located at 505 Railway
Street and will be played on 40 - 7’ Diamond Smart Tables.
ENTRY DEADLINE -- FEBRUARY 21, 2012
Late entry Closes March 7th, add $50.
Administration fees from every entry are $15 singles, $25
teams.
Please READ the ACCOMMODATION section for other
deductions.
Dates, eligibility requirements and events for the
tournament will be found in this program.

NO TEAM CORE REQUIRED
League Operators
and Players should read this program carefully to be aware of requirements and
rules of the tournament.

ENTRY FORMS
All entry forms must be filled out completely and
legibly. Entry forms not filled
out correctly will be returned.
An up to date stat sheet
must be sent with entry forms.

All entry forms must be accompanied by a cheque, money
order or bank draft in Canadian funds made payable to
COS Penticton.
Entries must postmarked by
February 21, 2012.
Late entries must
be post marked March 7th 2012.
Any sanctioned
BCAPL, League and Player members may participate in this Tournament.
For singles, and team events, all players must have
played in a minimum of 8 regularly
scheduled league matches during a BCA sanctioned 2011/12 season.
All players must appear on an official BCA sanction list
in order to compete in this event.
All players must meet amateur status requirements.
Players of “known” ability should compete in suitable
events. Tournament organizers
reserve the right to place players or teams in the appropriate event.
Player members
can enter Advanced or Master singles and Scotch Doubles only.
TOURNAMENT
RULES
BCAPL Tournament rules apply.
Rules governing play are detailed in the 2010/2011
BCAPL Rule Book.
No coaching in any of the events.
Players will flip a coin prior to starting the match, and
the winner will have choice of break.
Alternate break.
The tournament will practice rack your own for this
event.
The Magic Rack is allowed and must be offered to your
opponent.
Check in for Singles and Team Events is not required as
long as you appear on the draw sheets.
No player may play for more than one team.
Team rosters are set once the Team event begins its first
match. A time is set on Friday to
allow changes to Team rosters.
Additions or changes to team rosters must meet the requirements for the event
entered.
Substitutions: the Team Captain may substitute any player
in the line up for any other player on the roster prior to the start of each
round. The opposing Team Captain
must be notified of a change in the line up.
A regular or substitute player may not play the same opponent twice.
DRESS CODE
Singles
Competition - Clean, neat and tidy is the look of the tournament.
No sweats or torn unsightly clothing is allowed.
No suggestive clothing.
Acceptable attire is sleeved shirts or blouses with a
fold over collar either in a golf/polo or a button down style.
An official event shirt is
acceptable for this event. Past or Present.
Official event shirts available at the tournament.
Dress pants, neat un-torn jeans, capri style pants or
shorts (not too short, no cut offs).
Culottes, skirts, dresses, and kilts (no commando) are also acceptable.
No open toed footwear.
Hats okay. Must be worn as designed.
(No goofy hats i.e. beer can hats.)
Team Competition
Team shirts are required for all teams.
Dress code must meet singles competition requirements.
Each member of the team must have their own shirt.
The style of team shirts must be matching for all team members.
This includes front and back of shirts, if they have a logo or
monogram. A team theme is
acceptable. Official event shirts are
acceptable for the Team event but must still be matching.

NOTICE.
